I was lucky, when I first logged into SL in August 2007 I had a friend who took me hair shopping within an hour! I picked something close to my real hair style and color. I didn’t get the skin for 2 months though! Eeek! I wore linden skin that whole time because I didn’t know what a skin was! But I had great hair and kick ass spikey color change heels! I wear glasses in RL so I decided to wear them in SL; my friend got me these colorchange ones from primOptic that first day after the hair. My shape is fairly similar to what it was, just a bit less hippie and bustier (and omg what was with my giant man-hands?). Overall I am pretty much the same avatar as I started out as, just more polished… and with a much larger inventory!
I saw this challenge mentioned by Brandy Rasmuson and the originator of the challenge was Sophia Harlow. I usually am too late to do these blogger challenges by the time I get to them it’s way too late. But for this one I could actually dig out some of my old things. I think it’s a great look back to how far people have come, or maybe they haven’t come that far at all.
I can’t say for sure they are they absolute oldest that I own but I have been playing since 2004 and I know most of this is from then or 2005. I still feel like other than updating for new sl technique I would wear all of this. My shape has been the same for years and that blonde hair by Lash was pretty much the only decent blonde to be found on the grid when I first started. Of course I had a Celestial Studios skin I have always loved her skins and the outfit is actually one she did for Valentines Day in 2005. I loved that outfit I think I wore it for 2 months haha. Also look at those bangles I LOVED those bangles I wore them every day along with my first simple little lip ring. This was also before I really started venturing out and mixing and matching my clothes. Thank you for the trip down memory lane Sophia and Brandy!
