Ok I have a confession to make. I was at the Blogger Appreciation party (organized by Callie Cline) and I felt super guilty just hanging out when I haven’t posted in so long so I decided to take a few minutes and post this outfit I put together a couple days ago. Also it is a good opportunity for me to say thank you to all the people that helped her organize it and especially to all the designers that contributed items. It’s been really fabulous (even if you did make my already overstuffed inventory cry). Thank you to everyone involved it was really fun logging in to presents daily *hugs*

Now onto the outfit for those of you non-bloggers and non-designers. I was very excited a few weeks ago when Axel opened I had been seeing sneak peaks in Lila and Nikki’s plurks for months and all the items I bought lived up to my expectations. All of the new items are on multiple layers and are very low priced considering all the options/colors most have. Here I’m wearing the Kain Blazer in Peach and I adore this jacket. I think if I could wear it every day I would. I love all the little details from the flowers on the lapel to the button on the back. 

Under this I have on the Jasmine Vest from Paper Couture. I mean what can I say about them that hasn’t been said before their items are always really fabulous quality. Sometimes they don’t use a lot of layers but this vest is on all 3 layers so it’s a perfect addition to your wardrobe. The rest of the outfit is super cute as well but in my opinion the vest is the star. It even has a cute prim bow to add to the bottom. I wanted to add a shirt underneath to tie together the white vest and peach jacket and I chose the Kavi top from Zarra. This is a really pretty delicate top and I love the lacy details at the top.

This adorable skirt is the Naive Eyelet skirt from Sn@tch. I know that’s right I said that this sweet innocent looking skirt is from Sn@tch. Most people think that she only does super harder looking clothes but she does sweet/girly clothes with the same impeccable design as everything else. This came in a big pack of pastel colors and I just love how it swings. My shoes are the Floria (Cherry Blossom) strap sandals from G-Field. These come in few other colors but of course I loved the pink ones. They are really fun and great for summer outfits.

I kept the jewelry a little subtle just because the clothes were so great. This necklace is the AnneMarie Black Pearl necklace from Kess Kreations and I really like the length it’s not quite a choker but not too long either. My earrings and the bracelet on my left hand are from the Melancholy set from Violet Voltaire. While Violet is going to stop making new items she is keeping up a shop in world so that you can pick up the items she has already made. I will be sad to stop seeing her work, but since she is working on her rl jewelry design hopefully she’ll make me some tasty jewelry there! On my right arm I have on the Charmed Watch bracelet from Caroline’s. I should have taken some up close photos because this is really well done with tiny little charms on it.

Update on the babies! They are doing really well this week they are up in their weight. Ty is 3lbs 10 oz and Lexi is 3lbs 5oz (This goes up daily so that was a few days ago yay!). They are just working on just getting bigger right now and are doing a fabulous job at it.

OK… What happened to spring? Here in Alaska it’s still snowing and cold. I want to see some green leaves and little birdies flitting around and seedling flats and to take the dog for a walk without having to bundle up! Since I can’t have spring irl I decided to think spring in SL.

My outfit started with the Comfy boots from Shiny Things. I love these boots and don’t wear them as often as I should. The acid green color has me thinking of new leaves and grass *sigh*. Next came the olive green Jordan shorts from Elephant Outfitters. This was a new purchase and I think I will be wearing them a lot. Prim cuffs and lots of detail are making these shorts a favorite.

Looking through my tops folder I saw a recent purchase I had made from a store called anuenue. I had never heard of this store until participating in the grid wide Bunny hop hunt. When I tped there to find the egg I had to stop and shop. Everything in that store is CUTE! The tiny pink and green flowers on the Ladybird top were a match. This top looks like it’s layered over a plain white turtleneck and has a prim collar as well as prim sleeve attachments. I am definitely going back to this store!

Now that I had my basic outfit I needed layers and some accessories. Not really wanting socks or tights the only layer option left was a jacket. I wanted to keep with the springtime nice weather look and not wear a jacket, so started looking at vests. I found another inventory item that I really need to wear more often. The nerdy vest from Tres Blah looked great.

Hair wasn’t a hard choice for me. I had just been shopping at 0 Style and bought several new styles. The one I chose to wear is a simple long look with bangs. This was my first purchase from this store and I am very pleased. The hair fit perfectly with no adjustments! The color is a bit brighter then I usually wear, but I really like it.

The skin is another recent purchase. I have been in SL for more then 4 years now and have been searching the entire time for a good freckled skin. Some have come close, but I knew I finally found what I was looking for when I tried on some demos from Curio. The body and face freckles both look good. Lots of makeup options along with light, dark, freckled and unfreckled versions of this skin make it worth every L.

I needed some springtime accessories now. I remembered a bird watching bag I bought from Accessory Arsenal and tried it out. It comes with the bag which is worn over the shoulder. Also included are binoculars, a birders book and a bird watching animation. 2 of the poses in the picture are the bird watchers animation.

The Varied Tit is a prize from the bunny hop hunt. Wear on hand, wear on shoulder and one that you could rez anywhere. Each had 3 sound options, silent, sound on touch and sound at intervals.
