It all started with the boots. Boots are my kryptonite, especially boots that look like they could easily stomp into any club– or back alley and own the place. Big and chunky heels, nice leather, enough belts that Tetsuya Nomura would be proud…I found them all in J’s Goth Belt Boots. Sure, I own most every pair from there, but these fall squarely into the category of “ass kicking gear,” which, coincidentally, is my favorite category. The outfit went on from there, with the desire to dress to kill. Maybe literally.

Hair was next on the list. At the recent Hair Fair I picked up the “Voodoo” style from Exile. I wasn’t familiar with this designer, but two seconds looking at the demo had me hooked. Streaks! Side-braids! Spikes! It took quite some time to decide on the color, but I ended up with Black Cherry to match the PrimOptic sunglasses. The necklace soon followed, a fantasy-esque piece from Yabasaka that still can still pass on the modern streets. Then I dug deeper into my inventory for a single earring in a folder simply named “Onenine-Piercing.” T’was completely different, but definitely complimentary to the necklace and it was added to the ensemble. Gloves, my favorite pair from Pushbutton Industries, were also necessary because when out in the back alleys of any urban fantasy sim, you can’t risk breaking a nail.

Okay, I made that part up.

The actual -clothing- for this outfit was hard. I had the accessories, I had the hair, but nothing seemed to jump out at me when it came to a top and pants. I eventually went with a basic pair from Armidi and then searched the “goth” subfolder of my “shirt” subfolder and found this insanely fun top from Wrong. What can I say? Cutouts showing just enough skin to tease are quite fun. Plus you have to have a little flirtiness even when looking for vampires to stake or deranged catboys to fight off. Finishing off the look is the Metis belt from Dark Eden, just to tie everything together, and the Dragon Arms tattoo from Firefly to give some covering to those bare arms.

A little goth, a tiny bit punk, maybe even a tad sci-fi…I just know that I had fun putting together this outfit. Now…where are my guns?
