More high-waisted love here. I’m wearing the High and Waisted Shorts (such a freaking cute name!) from [Random]. These are so cute. I love all the buttons and the notched waistband…ooh, and the seaming, the seaming is fantastic. The set has many layers which is perfect for using in different outfits. I’m loving the multiple-layers trend that is becoming more readily available in sl. Another piece that comes on many layers is the Camisole from the Callista Outfit from Last Call. I love all of the texture detail in this cami, and the bow is so sweet. The jacket is the Shorty Jacket from the Mayra Outfit which is also from Last Call. I love the buttons at the cuffs and the three-quarter length sleeves. Also, the fabric looks so soft and touchable.

I’ve been waiting so long to prance around in these heels. Finally, the day has come. I’m wearing the Genevieve Shoes in Jardin Ivoire from Last Call. There’s an amazing amount of different prints and colors available to please everyone. I love the little buckles and the detail in the texture. I was wondering why the color was called Jardin Ivoire until I finally zoomed in on the shoe and saw the little flowers. That kind of attention to detail just amazes me. My necklace is the Cats Eye Beads Necklace in Blue from Curious Kitties. I love, love, love this color. It’s a gorgeous bluey-purpley shade. The shading on the beads is fantastic as it adds such depth to the beads. My ring is the Cabochon Ring in Silver/Pearl from Lassitude & Ennui. The pearl texture is sooo pretty. I just love how it shimmers and the smoothness contrasts with the rougher texture surrounding it.

Ok I have a confession to make… I Hethr Engel am addicted to peasant skirts. All lengths and colors I just can’t resist buying them. So when I found the coco candy flexi skirt at Haunted Zuzu I snatched a blue one right up and I’m sure I’ll be back for the pink. I love how silky and shiny the fabric looks and also how full the skirt is. When I was finding a top for it I had to use the strappy bellsleeve sweater in ocean from Pixeldolls. Not only does it have amazing sculpted prim sleeves but it has a really neat pattern of straps on the back. I admit I was leery of sculpted prims when I first heard about them, but they really don’t seem to cause me much lag at all. I wanted something to go under the top so I put on the Eeast wind shirt in brown from Barerose. I actually love that the top has some cute beaded looking straps and a beaded necklace. I think it’s so well done I didn’t even add a prim necklace.

I know you are probably shocked by my lack of jewelry, but it just worked out that way today. I do have on my boho chic earrings from elka and these are up in my top 5 pairs because they are so adorably simple and match practically everything. I wanted some girly but still elegant shoes so I put on the metallic open toe pumps in silver from GLAM.

My favorite piece in this outfit is the white straw hat from Rose Farina of Rose Petal Creations. When I first saw a photo of this hat I was sure it had to be a sculpted prim because it was so round and perfect . Turns out its not its just a ton of regular prims! It must have taken her forever to get them all line up and I love how natural it looks.

I wanted just the right hair so I went with Lara from ETD and I think the front hanging down pieces and the long ponytail are just casual enough to match the hat perfectly. My skin is from the Deviant Nation line of Vogue skins and is called Drama Queen, in case you live under a rock or just don’t read blogs. (Besides ours of course) This line of skins and also 70+ outfits are on a clearance before they are retired outside of Last Call. This is going on until June 6th so I would definitely go check it out.
