I was feeling a little casual today, I mean I’m not sure how pink ruffles and super high heels translate into lounge wear but thats what this outfit reminds me of.

I started with this fabulous Veronika jacket from AnnaH Couture. This comes in an outfit with a bikini and both come on all layers. It has a rich texture and flows out around, it even flows around this little ruffley Felicity dress from Elate. I had to do a few stretches on the ruffles but it was actually pretty easy to get the fit right. It also works very nicely as just a top or just a skirt with a little prim adjustment. I put the Opium Everyday leggings underneath tinted black just to keep it from looking less like an evening outfit.

I wasn’t sure when I would ever wear the Felicity shoes from Tesla but it turns out they aren’t quite as hard to match as I thought. I hope she makes them in other colors for now they are only in red and black. On my left arm I have on the Vintage Humble Blossom bangle from Earthtones. There are I think 6 different patterns for this set and they come with 2 bangles, a necklace and earrings so it’s a great deal.  On my right arm is the pink heart bracelet from Untone and Im wearing one of my favorite necklaces the Veronique in Rhodochrosite from Shiny Things. I picked up these little flower earrings for free at Dernier Cri there are quite a few pretty freebies so its worth checking out.

My hair and makeup are 2 of my old favorites the Eva II from ETD and the Vogue makeup (Spring– Pure). I think thye are both just a little vintage and look very nice with the jacket.

I think I’ll be busy lounging on my porch enjoying the rest of my weekend. I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend as well.

I was feeling super pink today, mostly because of the meatcake dress from Silent Sparrow.  Hyasynth always makes beautiful clothes, but they are usually a little more formal. This dress is a really fun take on the typical 50’s housewife dress with a meat trim. Now I have to say never in my life did I imagine I would be trying to match the pinky-red color of a steak for an outfit but it was actually very easy with the Darla shirt from Artilleri. I’m pretty sure Antonia didn’t intend for it to be a steak colored pink but it does match pretty well.  This shirt has wonderful shading and actually ties just above the belly button with a little prim bow but I left that off.

Instead I am wearing the top of the Bree pants by Tuli. Tuli has some wonderful new things out there that can be mixed and matched with countless items. I put the Fairweather undershirt on from Gris Gris because it has really great prim ruffles. The party pumps in pink from Shiny Things almost exactly match the shade on pink on the meatcake dress so they were an obvious choice.

I really am only wearing bangles today on my left arm I have on the XOXO prep girl bracelet from Caroline Apollo and on my right is the lily bangle in pink from Creamshop. My ruffle took the place of a necklace and my hair really didn’t leave a place for earrings. This cute poofy hair is the Tuli from Aden. I really like the messy tousled curls.

I was in the middle of putting together this outfit I saw the new announcement for the Peaches skin from Chai by Launa Fauna. This was the makeup I had been looking for! I love the peaches and cream look on it especially on my chosen shade (cream ha). Also the poses in my photo above are from the new Vain set by Torridwear. I love Torrid’s poses I use them all the time and this new set is going to be another favorite.

This outfit was pretty fun to put together although now I feel like I should go cook up a pie… maybe a meat pie.

Hello there. I know, it’s been awhile. I seem to be having a hard time adjusting to my new job, and I’m driving an extra hour every day so I was pretty cranky and tired this week. I also seem to be going through an anti sl phase, but those seem to come and go. I mean I guess after almost 4 years it’s to be expected. I still manage to log in to shop but making an outfit is proving harder. I don’t like when I disappear that long because then I start to feel bad for abandoning the blog. I’m also having difficulties with windlight. I think somehow I changed a setting because my pictures don’t seem to be saving right. I will have to play with it more.

Luckily I was very inspired by this white jacket on a sale wall at kuri style by Kuri Karas for 30L (FOR A WHOLE OUTFIT!!). I read about this shop on someone’s blog. I can’t remember who because I’m bad at that but it was a great tip. There are lots of cute cheap outfits there and most of them have at least one very usable piece.

I chose to put the Aubergine knitted vest from twosome underneath because I’ve been dying to use this in an outfit. This vest is so super detailed and comes on all the layers like most of the stuff from twosome. I chose to wear it on the shirt/pants layer to fit with the jacket. Because of this I had to find some cute pants on the underpants layer and the fairweather pinstripe pants from Gris Gris were perfect. Just to continue the pinstriped look in my top I put on the top from the striped halterneck dress from Hexed. She also provides the top on all the layers and even better this was a group freebie!

Anytime I wear pants on the underpants layer and I don’t have prims for them I always reach for my boots. I was lucky this time because the Sara square toe boots in Dark Purple are an almost perfect match to my vest.

I went a little light on the jewelry and put on the super chunky Scoopie Earrings from Turnstyle. These are scripted color change and I actually forgot about them until I put them on with this outfit, silly me. My necklace is the Koijini necklace from Schadenfruede. This has a little color/gemstone/metal change hud. It’s very fun to play with and the necklace itself is very dainty and has some really great charms on it.

I also added the girl gems hair bow in black from Violet Voltaire. I was whining the other week to her that there aren’t enough hair barrettes/headbands and stuff and to make me some and it turns out she already had an idea for these. Luckily for everyone out there she has them in a fat pack of all her colors for 25L! You should go check out her new shop and pick up your own set. I moved mine to the back of this hair but they come on the side normally.

The barrette wouldn’t be anything without this super cute Carrie hair from Truth. I don’t normally love hair without bangs but this one feels very me somehow and I’m willing to overlook it.  My skin is the Winter 1 Vogue skin from Celestial Studios. I don’t wear the Winter 1 and 4 very often because the makeup is very dark but it just felt right with this outfit.

I will try not to disappear for 2 weeks next time! There are way too many outfits lurking in my inventory for me not to be posting. I’m writing this at 3am so hopefully it all makes sense.

So last week was very up and down for me in my rl. Well on one of my low days I was in sl just trying on clothes like usual when I started talking to a friend (TY Adaire!!). She mentioned “fishing” and i was like huh? So I popped over to try out the 7Seas fishing game at her house. I think that was the turning point in my week I spent 2 hours my first day just fishing. You can catch these little fish that swim around your head and you can name them. You can also catch other random t hings such as swimsuits, boots, hats and earrings. I am wearing my sea urchin and starfish in the picture above.

Now due to the fishing I’ve been doing I thought I needed a fishing outfit. So I put this one together! I have also set up a fishing area on our sim at my beach house (yes I have 2 houses on the same sim pretty much next door to each other, you thought I was just excessive in my outfit making) the tp point is here THINC 28/44/21. There are a couple benches and every is welcome to hang out.

Now of course I needed some shorts with lots of pockets and the Jenius shorts from Veschi are very good at treading the line between casual and dressy very well. With the right accessories they can go either way. I also love the plaid one’s the most because the colors work so well together. After working on the layers a little bit (Luckily the upper part of the shorts and the jacket are available on all the layers) I decided that I loved the Bout Du monde Jacket from Pixeldolls. This jacket comes in an outfit with a couple different versions even a really long one. I liked the short one for this and decided not to wear any of the prim parts so that I could wear my little pets. I think a white tank is perfect for underneath since the shorts have such a strong pattern. I am wearing the Gabrielle tank from Last Call which is no longer available. Shoes were a little harder, but I like how the Olivia Suede Wedge Heel boots match the cloth on the jacket.

 Being me of course I needed to wear lots of jewelry. On my left arm I have on the Found Hearts Bracelet from Yummy, this has little heart charms all over it but I think that I could just as easily hang extra hooks on it just in case so it’s almost like a wearable tackle box. On my right arm I have on the Maya bracelet (Summer Flame) this bracelet has pretty little stones and I liked the pop of color. My necklace is the Kailena from Muse and is a great casual natural look. Most of her stuff is more formal but this is nice for everyday wear.

Now my favorite jewelry today! My earrings are the Worm and Hook Earrings that I caught playing the 7Seas game. They are little hooks with a worm wrapped around them. Now I would be very sad for the worm except he just sorta looks like he’s hanging out on the hook, very adorable! I wanted a nice hat so I’m wearing the Bermuda from Celestial Studios. This hat changes texture and the hair underneath is a short piecy cut. Finally I put on the Jade-Smoky makeup from the Vogue skin line and I was ready to fish!

I think that fishing turned my week around because I did eventually find a job, it is a temporary job (3–6 months) but it’s for a good company and I’m thinking it will give me some good contacts. This might mean I won’t be able to blog as much for a couple weeks, but I will try my best.  

I am also wondering if anyone would be interested in doing an event sort of like what we used to do but different. Because I would probably be the only one that could show up to run it, it would be less like the contest events and more like a “Let’s dress up for a theme and get our picture taken and hang out” sort of event. Is this something you guys would be interested in? I miss seeing everyone and I know everyone loves to have a reason to dress up. Let me know and I’ll give you more details over the next couple weeks.
